Emerald Deruster PH7 is an aqueous neutral solution designed to be used as a soak immersion to remove all of the rust from steel and iron. The product is used at full strength with soak times of as quick as 15 minutes to 24 hours in extreme cases at room temperature. Faster effectiveness may be achieved through heating. Since Emerald Deruster PH7 is neutral no special equipment is required although safety glasses and gloves should be worn. The product can be used over and over until it stops working. On average, 1 litre will de-rust up to 50kg of lightly rusted steel. Emerald Deruster PH7 is non-hazardous, contains no VOCs, runs at pH 6.5-7, is biodegradable and, most important, will not cause hydrogen embrittlement on high tensile steel components. This is a major benefit over traditional acidic de-rusting products. Emerald Deruster PH7 is used at temperatures from ambient up to 80°C undiluted. No special equipment is required.
