Henkel Bonderite O-PC 1090 (was Kephos 1090 Black) is a one operation non aqueous pretreatment and organic coating dip, providing corrosion resistance for items such as car accessories, sheet metal components, brackets, castings, tubular cooling units and domestic appliance back panels, etc. Bonderite O-PC 1090 produces a phosphate coating and black finish in just one process. Its provides excellent corrosion resistance for its film build, with protection being equivalent to that provided by a light weight phosphate coating plus a one-coat finish – it is more effective than most one-coat finishes on unphosphated steel and the finish is similar in appearance to that of a single coat of low gloss dip paint. Bonderite O-PC 1090 is best applied by dip, but can be brushed or sprayed. The process takes up less room than conventional separate phosphating and painting operations and delivers faster processing (forced dried for best results for 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, air dried around 35-45 minutes – allowing 24 hours before assembling/packing).
