Henkel’s Bonderite C-MC 12 (was P3 Grato 12) is a solvent free, biodegradable, cold cleaner solution, formulated for use in the cold cleaning of vehicle, engine and machinery parts. Bonderite C-MC 12 can be brushed or sprayed on, and be used at any concentration (above 3 per cent), determined by the degree of contamination; it is then left between 2 and 10 minutes to enable the surfactants to penetrate the contamination. Once this is complete the surface can then be cleaned with water with a pressure hose or by brushing and then dried leaving the surface in an inhibited condition for a short time. Oil in the effluent will separate out and can be skimmed off, and the remaining liquid may be discharged into the mains drain. However, the waste should be allowed to stand for 30 minutes, and be diluted to below 2 per cent.
