Henkel’s Bonderite C-IC DS-9-333 (was Novamax DS-9-333 Bright Dip) is a unique formulation specifically designed to descale and brighten stainless steel by simple non-electrolytic immersion. Bonderite C-IC DS-9-333 contains no hydrofluoric acid, fluorides or chrome containing compounds. Bonderite C-IC DS-9-333 will provide a bright finish on 18/8” stainless steel, a reflective surface on 18/5” and martensitic stainless steels, and can be used to descale a wide variety of steels and corrosion-resistant alloys. It is ideal for use as a surface conditioning treatment prior to welding and electroplating. In addition, it is effective in the removal of heat treatment welding scale, and will clean silver and brass soldered joints without any harmful effect. However, this process should not be used on tin or lead soldered work.
