Henkel’s Bonderite C-AK 305 (was Ridoline 305) is a concentrated liquid etching cleaner for aluminium, steel, hot dip galvanised and electrogalvanised steel surfaces – normally applied in a spray washing plant. It provides good cleaning, low foam, low sludge and minimum scale, making it particularly effective in cleaning aluminium in continuous strip processing, and can be chemically controlled using electronic control equipment. Treatment time can be between 5 to 25 seconds, this will depend upon bath strength, condition of metal, and degree of etch required, together with available processing time. The work should be rinsed in cold water immediately after treatment, and if the work is heavily soiled and extra cleaning power is required, Bonderite C-AD detergent materials may be added to the bath.
